RHFSC PROGRAM CANCELLATIONS

Dear RHFSC Members,

Due to the ongoing strike all program at Richmond Hill Figure Skating Club are CANCELLED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

Eglin Barrow Arena Complex is closed and the building will not be regularly staffed for the duration of the strike, we are unsure of how long the strike will last but we will provide updates once they become available.

CITY OF RICHMOND HILL LABOUR DISRUPTION

Hi Everyone,

As you may have heard, the City of Richmond Hill and CUPE 905 have been in negotiations since June 5, 2024. The City issued a " No Board Report" during the week of October 31 thus starting a 17- Day cooling period before a strike or lock out can happen.

The City has reached out to the club about what this means for our scheduled programs. They have mentioned reaching out to other municipalities asking if they would be able to accommodate us.

The City of Richmond Hill posted on their website on November 22, 2024 that CUPE 905 has begun strike action. A list of suspended services has been posted on their website, unfortunately arena ice pads are closed (this includes pre-registered program, drop ins and permits).

We are uncertain how long the labour disruption will last. The club will be in contact with the city and we will keep everyone posted.

MULTI-DAY DISCOUNT ADJUSTMENT

We have noticed a small error in how the multi day discount has been applied to some invoices. We are looking into fixing the problem. If you have registered prior to 9:30 am and you may have been effected. All invoices will be fixed in a timely manner prior to payment links being sent out by paypal.

Just a reminder that the multi-day discount is as follows:

2 Days of Skating = 5% off

3 Days of Skating = 10% off

4 Days of Skating = 20% off

*PLTI does not qualify for multi-day discounts

You may notice many lines of multi-day discounts on your invoice. If you look closely it is us reversing the system error and then reapplying the correct amount under the Subscriptions and Products section called Invoice adjustment.

PLTI REMINDER

Private Lesson Ticket Ice provides skaters in the Canskate and StarSkate 1 & 2 levels with the opportunity to take private lessons with a NCCP Certified Coach. PLTI shares the ice with the Pre-Can sessions. PLTI is offered in 2 time slots 15 minutes or 30 minutes.

Please note the following expectations for the sessions:

Skaters must be signed up prior to attending sessions
Skaters must always be in a lesson with a club coach
A maximum of 3 skaters are allowed with a coach. (no large groups)
Skaters must be registered in a minimum of 1 group lesson at RHFSC

If PLTI is right for you please coordinate with a club coach to set up lessons.

Parents/Skaters must have a confirmed coached prior to being allowed to sign up for PLTI.
